This particular organization helps empower rural women of Nicaragua.  

Since 1995 La F.E.M. (Fundacion Entre Mujeres)  has fought for the equal rights of women and their independence from unfortunate circumstances.   

They are dedicated to empowering these women through education, graduating an average of 100 women from ages 10 to 70 every year.   La F.E.M. then provides the women with acres of land to be cultivated and farmed by them.  In their farms they grow coffee, rosa de jamaica, rice, beans, amongst other things that they then sell in the local "Mercadito Verde" (farmers market) .

Through this they create jobs, resources and income to women who otherwise lacked opportunity to support themselves.
